2015 Launch Party

On the 9th April many of the owners of the Houses that will be open in 2015 met for the official launch at the Old market Place in Hove. Last year more than 200,000 people visited the Open Houses. This year, more are expected as the Brighton Festival Scheme is the largest of its kind in the UK.

Some of those attending enjoyed a mini-workshop in drawing wonderfully dressed models (see photo). This year’s guidebook was launched with a great woodcut on the front cover from artist Bernard Lodge (see photo). Everyone left feeling “it’s time to get organised!!” But looking forward to that very special atmosphere that the Open House movement creates.
