iPad Art
Patricia Davenport is an established artist who has always been interested in the primitive in nature. At one time she produced huge, abstract canvases that often contained references to ancient symbols and signs. There were creaded with a mixture of materials, natural pigments and objets trove – like pieces of gold from women’s fabrics in India.
However, in the collection of works that she is showing in Encounters this year Patricia has used her iPad and she has captured a visual cocktail of shapes and forms that were inspired by a trip through asian heritage sites. Two of her works are shown in the photographs below, but they need to be seen to gain a sense of their entrancing beauty.
